2026 Wildlife Calendar SLIGHT SECONDS

This is a slimline wall calendar for nature lovers.  It’s a 2026 wildlife calendar that guides you through the seasons – each month has drawings and handwritten notes about what to look out for in the natural world – the birds and animals and flowers and insects that signal the turning of the seasons.  Each of the months has a different illustration.  There’s a grey heron in grey February, a May sunrise, a nettle patch for August and bold October autumn colours. Primroses, coal tits, a trip to the seaside, hogweed, butterflies, pigeons, ivy.    And, of course, it has the days and dates for you to write in your appointments.  The weekends are in a different colour to make it even easier to schedule your week.

The calendar is wire bound and ready to hang from a pin on the wall.
Size: When hanging the calendar is 420mm long x 148mm wide.  It folds to A5 size: 148 x 210mm for posting.

In our house we rely on the calendar for making a note of appointments and social plans, but some customers use the calendar to record the world around them – such as the first snowdrops or the arrival of the swallows. I know one customer who uses it to record the happenings on her farm.

Designing the calendar is one of my favourite tasks each year. I’m obsessed with tracking the changes in the seasons. I love learning about the countryside and it’s rhythms and understanding why the world around us acts the way it does throughout the year. From my sketchbook to your kitchen wall. Being connected to the seasonal shifts makes me feel more grounded.  I aim for the calendar to be a tiny immersive seasonal moment for that pin hook in your kitchen.

ABOUT THE PAPER GOODS

The calendars are printed by a local firm just 8 miles from the studio and  then sent to a binders in Edinburgh to be finished. The calendars are printed on FSC certified paper stock which means it has been sourced sustainably.

The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio. My work is all about connection: connection with nature, connection with each other.
