The Archway and the Wren – Blank Card – wraparound design

The Archway & the Wren is a drawing I did while visiting a campsite in a walled garden.  There was the most gorgeous archway entrance into the walled garden.  It reminded me of the Secret Garden.  In amongst the ivy covering the doorway a little wren was perched.  Tiny, but loud.  I immediately knew I had to draw it.

(The campsite is Ruberslaw Wild Woods, here in the Scottish Borders, in case anyone would like to visit! They also stock my cards, there, as a wee bonus).

The drawing is printed on a slightly textured, off-white card. The design is printed across the fold.  Just fold it over to send it as a standard letter size.

This card is blank inside so you can use it year-round for any occasion, or to write a note to a friend.

The folded card is A6 size: 150mm x 105mm.

This card comes with a recycled brown envelope.

ABOUT THE CARDS

All the cards are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in the UK. They are printed on FSC approved card stock which means that it is sourced from sustainable mixed forests.

The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio. My work is all about connection: connection with nature, connection with each other.

I love that when someone sends a card they are letting that person know they are valued. I like to imagine posties collecting and delivering the cards, and the journey the cards make by van and air and foot, landing on someone’s front door mat and making that person’s day.
