The Birch-Wood at Dusk – Limited Edition A3 Print – barn owl and birch trees

This is a limited edition, signed print of my ‘The Birch-Wood at Dusk’ pencil and watercolour drawing.  The drawing is of a barn owl silently gliding through birch trees at dusk.  The birch trees are a particularly lovely section of the woodland here at Drygrange.  The barn owl sets off on her nightly excursion along the edge of the trees.

You can walk through this woodland yourself if you are ever in the Scottish Borders. There’s a path called the Jubilee Path which runs from Earlston down to the Leaderfoot Viaduct and back.  The birch-wood is just after the wonky picnic bench and before the little stream by the toadstool-tree, I’m sure you’ll find it.

There are just 60 of these larger size prints available.

Size: It is printed on A3 size paper: 297 x 420 mm (11.7 x 16.5 in).  The print is landscape in orientation – the drawing is a long, thin shape.

It will be packaged carefully in a protective envelope to keep it flat for transit.

The birch-owl drawing is also now available as a concertina card and you’ll find it in the shop.

ABOUT THE PRINTS

The print will be digitally printed on smooth matte archival paper using special pigment inks.  The special inks ensure there is no fading over time.

This print is part of a limited edition of 60 prints.  This means that once all 60 prints have sold then there won’t be any more printed.  The print will be signed in pencil along with the edition number e.g. 7/60.

The art prints are all drawn, scanned & printed in my studio in the Scottish Borders. The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio. My work is all about connection: connection with nature, connection with each other.
