This gorgeous A5 size eco-jotter has a wrap-around design on the cover. It folds out to reveal an urban landscape. A flock of pigeons are wheeling round the chimneys, turning suddenly, following their aerial race tracks.
The drawing is named Dispatch Pigeons because, twice a week, I take my big sacks of parcelled-up orders to the dispatch office in town to post. These pigeons are always in town and I often see them when I’m doing the dispatch. Pigeons are also famed for having been used to deliver messages; I like seeing them when I am delivering my parcels. They land on chimneys for a chat and then whooosh, up they go again, back into the sky.
The wrap-around design is printed on 100% recycled board. There’s something lovely about the black ink on the brown kraft background.
This jotter makes a wonderful sketchbook or notebook. I use them as a diary sketchbook when I go on holiday. It has 32-pages of high quality 190gsm cartridge paper. The pages of the jotter are lovely quality, smooth, off-white paper which I think make a wonderful surface to draw on. The paper can even handle a tiny little bit of watercolour paint.
Size: The jotter is A5 size: 148mm x 210mm
The Dispatch Pigeons image can also be found as a blank card and a bookmark in the shop.
ABOUT THE PAPER GOODS
All our products are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in the UK. The notebooks are printed on responsibly sourced papers by a small business called Southfield Stationers, based about 45 miles from the studio.
The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio. My work is all about connection: connection with nature, connection with each other.
