At the Corner of the Field – Blank Card – winter landscape card

At the Corner of the Field is a drawing I did of a frozen winter scene at dusk.  There’s a little pink from the sky reflected on the water.  The puddles in the muddy tractor tyre tracks are frozen.  Across the sky flies a V-formation of geese, heading to water to roost for the night.  It is a peaceful, frozen world, perfectly still except the movement of the water and the geese in the sky.

The drawing is of the corner of the river in a field near the village of Morebattle where we used to live.  Gradually the river has been changing course over the last few years.  You can read a little about the process of making this drawing in my blog post.

The drawing is printed on a slightly textured, off-white card. The design is printed across the fold.  Just fold it over to send it as a standard letter size.

This card is blank inside so you can use it year-round for any occasion, or to write a note to a friend.

The folded card is A6 size: 150mm x 105mm.

This card comes with a recycled brown envelope.

ABOUT THE CARDS

All the cards are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in the UK. They are printed on FSC approved card stock which means that it is sourced from sustainable mixed forests.

The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio. My work is all about connection: connection with nature, connection with each other.

I love that when someone sends a card they are letting that person know they are valued. I like to imagine posties collecting and delivering the cards, and the journey the cards make by van and air and foot, landing on someone’s front door mat and making that person’s day.
