A fine bone china mug featuring a collection of drawings & sketches all about life at the seaside, including a main drawing on the front of a fishing boat.
The design wraps its way around the mug. There’s even a little oystercatcher and a little crab inside the rim, and a collection of drawings down the handle. You’ll find my signature on the base of the mug.
The modern shape of the mug has straight sides and a strap handle – it’s called the Orkney shape. It’s the perfect size for a nice cuppa. The capacity is 0.35l.
These collectible mugs would make a lovely gift for a wildlife enthusiast or bird watcher. You can turn it into a gift by adding a Dunoon gift box to your order. The By the Sea notebook and card make great accompaniments to this mug.
About Dunoon Mugs
It’s been very exciting to see my drawings appear on such lovely quality ceramics. The mugs have been produced by the well-known mug company Dunoon. Dunoon mugs have a reputation for the highest quality of fine bone china. They are handcrafted in Staffordshire, England. They are produced to the highest quality using traditional methods which have been developed and refined over 3 family generations in the pottery industry.
Looking after your mug:
The mugs are fine bone china so require a little extra care.
- although the mugs are dishwasher safe it is best to wash them by hand
- rinse out tea and coffee after use to avoid staining
- try not to pour boiling water directly into the mugs. Either put your milk in first or pour the water over the back of a teaspoon. This avoids cracking as a result of rapid thermal expansion.
The mugs are designed to last a long time so if you follow these steps you should have many a happy cuppa from your Hannah Longmuir mug!
Your mugs will be packaged very carefully for shipping. If I use packing peanuts or bubble wrap it is re-used from an order of stock from one of my suppliers. Wherever possible I try to make environmentally responsible decisions about packaging.
