This simple white card features a pencil and watercolour drawing of a sweet little robin perching tenderly on the hand of a gardener. Robins and their red breasts are an iconic sight in gardens over the winter months. They form a bond with gardeners, coming close to look for worms, and slowly building up trust. This little robin will even feed from the gardener’s palm. I love the juxtaposition of the delicate bird and the gruff hand of the gardener in this image. You can learn more about robins on the RSPB website.
This card design is one of our ‘winter’ cards. It is designed so that you can use it as a Christmas card, but it is also blank inside so you can use it as a general card throughout the year, too. It is perfect for thank you notes, letters to friends, or birthday cards, or as a gift for a bird watcher or nature lover.
It is printed on lovely quality card, and comes with a nice white envelope. It is packaged in a cellophane envelope to keep it safe for posting.
The folded card is A6 size: roughly 160mm x 120mm
about our cards
All our cards are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in Scotland. The designs are inspired by the rich variety of the British countryside. By sending these cards you can express your love for nature and of the countryside. The original drawings are done in pencil & watercolour.
We love that when someone sends a card they are letting that person know they are valued. We like to imagine posties collecting and delivering the cards, and the journey the cards make by van and air and foot, landing on someone’s front door mat and making that person’s day. Are you planning on sending this card to someone special? Let us know when you leave a review!
