I Know A Place – Blank Card – woodland landscape card

This drawing is called ‘I Know A Place’. It features a magical woodland scene filled with silvery white birch trees, tangled branches, and a carpet of bright green wild garlic.  I think that there’s nothing greener than the green of wild garlic in springtime, just before it flowers.  In amongst the wild garlic stands a beautiful roe deer, gentle and alert.

The drawing is of a favourite woodland walk near the village where we used to live in the Scottish Borders.

The drawing is printed on a slightly textured, off-white card. The design is printed across the fold.  Just fold it over to send it as a standard letter size.

This card is blank inside so you can use it year-round for any occasion, or to write a note to a friend.

The folded card is A6 size: 150mm x 105mm.

This card comes with a recycled brown envelope.

ABOUT THE CARDS

All the cards are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in the UK. They are printed on FSC approved card stock which means that it is sourced from sustainable mixed forests.

The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio. My work is all about connection: connection with nature, connection with each other.

I love that when someone sends a card they are letting that person know they are valued. I like to imagine posties collecting and delivering the cards, and the journey the cards make by van and air and foot, landing on someone’s front door mat and making that person’s day.
