A simple white card featuring a drawing of a young crow taking flight.
There’s a bit of a story behind this card. Last summer, we were in the garden and heard a very distressed bird. There was a beautiful juvenile carrion crow stuck in our fence, desperately flapping trying to free herself. We helped her out and kept her in a cardboard box in our kitchen until the rescue centre could collect her. It is my dearest hope that they managed to fix her wing and help her to fly again. I did this drawing as a tribute to our beautiful crow friend. It is called The Little Crow Flies Again. You can read the whole story of our crow rescue in this blog post.
This card is blank inside so it can also be used year round for thank you notes, letters to friends, or birthday cards.
It is printed on lovely quality card, and comes with a nice white envelope.
The folded card is A6 size: 160mm x 120mm.
ABOUT THE CARDS
All the cards are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in the UK. They are printed on FSC approved card stock which means that it is sourced from sustainable mixed forests. The designs are inspired by the rich variety of the British countryside. I believe it is important that people feel connected with the fields, hedgerows and woodlands around them. Only by loving and enjoying the countryside can we learn to care for it.
I love that when someone sends a card they are letting that person know they are valued. I like to imagine posties collecting and delivering the cards, and the journey the cards make by van and air and foot, landing on someone’s front door mat and making that person’s day.
