This is a limited edition, signed print of my ‘Rewilding [Little Turbine House] pencil & watercolour drawing. It is a drawing of a ramshackle old house being reclaimed by the forest. The house is in the woodland where we live. It used to house the turbines for the generator for the estate house but now it is being gradually rewilded by the ivy and moss and birds nests. I draw it in the early spring when the fresh bright greens cover the woodland floor.
I drew it when I was very heavily pregnant with my son. The peacefulness of watching the woodland slowly emerge from my page was the only thing that kept me calm while we waited for him to (eventually) arrive.
There are just 60 of these larger size prints available.
Size: It is printed on A3 size paper: 297 x 420 mm (11.7 x 16.5 in). The actual print is 380 x 230mm (15 x 9.5 in).
This print would look fantastic framed up and would make a lovely addition to your home, or as a special gift for a friend who loves the outdoors.
It will be packaged carefully in a protective envelope to keep it flat for transit.
ABOUT THE PRINTS
The print will be digitally printed on smooth matte archival paper using special pigment inks. The special inks ensure there is no fading over time.
This print is part of a limited edition of 60 prints. This means that once all 60 prints have sold then there won’t be any more printed. The print will be signed in pencil along with the edition number e.g. 7/60.
The art prints are all drawn, scanned, printed & hand assembled in my studio in the Scottish Borders. The original drawings are done in pencil & watercolour. The drawings are inspired by the rich variety of the British countryside. We believe it is important that people feel connected with the fields, hedgerows and woodlands around them. Only by loving and enjoying the countryside can we learn to care for it.
