This is a limited edition, signed print of my ‘Not-so-Mute Swans’ pencil & watercolour drawing.
The print is of a drawing of two huge swans flying across the landscape. There are words describing the incredible sounds that swans make hidden in the grass for you to find! The original drawing was done in pencil, with a little colour added with watercolour. It was inspired by that feeling of awe you get when you see (and hear!) swans in flight above you. Apparently the sound of their wings beating can be heard as much as a mile away. I was walking Buddy in a field one day in winter and two swans passed above us. It was impossible not to look up and stare in amazement.
Each print is numbered, titled and signed by hand. There are just 50 of these prints available.
Size: It is printed on A3 size paper: 297 x 420 mm (11.7 x 16.5 in). The actual print is 11 inches square.
This print would look fantastic framed up and would make a lovely addition to your home, or as a special gift for a friend who loves the outdoors.
The print will be posted flat in a hard-backed envelope.
You can also find the Not-so-Mute Swans drawing as an art card in our shop.
ABOUT THE PRINTS
The print will be digitally printed on smooth matte archival paper using special pigment inks. The special inks ensure there is no fading over time.
This print is part of a limited edition of 50 prints. This means that once all 50 prints have sold then there won’t be any more printed. The print will be signed in pencil along with the edition number e.g. 7/50.
The art prints are all drawn, scanned, printed & hand assembled in my studio in the Scottish Borders. The original drawings are done in pencil & watercolour. The drawings are inspired by the rich variety of the British countryside. We believe it is important that people feel connected with the fields, hedgerows and woodlands around them. Only by loving and enjoying the countryside can we learn to care for it.
