Description
A simple white card featuring a pencil drawing of an otter. This little guy is peeping out above the surface of the water. I’m fascinated by the watery world of the otter. They are so graceful and agile underwater. They have very thick fur in two layers, and when they swim the air which is trapped between the layers comes out as bubbles. I love to scan the riverbanks for the darting movements of the otters, but I’m not often lucky enough to spot one. They are gradually returning to the rivers and streams in the Scottish Borders, though, as the water quality improves.
This cute card would be ideal for a child’s birthday. It is blank inside so it can also be used year round for thank you notes, letters to friends, or birthday cards, or as a gift for a bird watcher or nature lover.
It is printed on lovely quality card, and comes with a nice white envelope. It is packaged in a cellophane to keep it safe for posting.
The folded card is A6 size: 160mm x 120mm.
About our cards
All our cards are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in Scotland. The original drawings are done in pencil & watercolour. The designs are inspired by the rich variety of the British countryside. We believe it is important that people feel connected with the fields, hedgerows and woodlands around them. Only by loving and enjoying the countryside can we learn to care for it.
We love that when someone sends a card they are letting that person know they are valued. We like to imagine posties collecting and delivering the cards, and the journey the cards make by van and air and foot, landing on someone’s front door mat and making that person’s day.
