This is a lovely signed print of a pencil drawing of an otter. This little guy is peeping out above the surface of the water. I’m fascinated by the watery world of the otter. They are so graceful and agile under water. They have very thick fur in two layers, and when they swim the air which is trapped between the layers comes out as bubbles. I love to scan the riverbanks for the darting movements of the otters, but I’m not often lucky enough to spot one. They are gradually returning to the rivers and streams in the Scottish Borders, though, as the water quality improves.
This print would make a lovely addition to your home, or as a gift for a nature lover.
You have two size options:
- A little postcard sized mounted print which will fit an 8″ x 10″ frame. The mount is ice white in colour and would look lovely in a plain black or dark wood frame. This size of print is ready to gift, to frame, and to display. It comes in a cellophane envelope to keep it clean and safe.
- An A5 sized print with no mount. That’s roughly 5.8 x 8.3 inches in size (or 148mm x 210mm). Perfect if you want to choose your own mount and frame.
This print is landscape in orientation.
It will be packaged carefully in a protective envelope to keep it flat for transit.
You can also find the Otter in Water image as a blank card in our shop.
ABOUT OUR PRINTS
The print is digitally printed on lovely 210gsm archival paper. We use special pigment inks to ensure there is no fading over time.
The art prints are all drawn, scanned, printed & hand assembled in my studio in the Scottish Borders. The original drawings are done in pencil & watercolour. The drawings are inspired by the rich variety of the British countryside. We believe it is important that people feel connected with the fields, hedgerows and woodlands around them. Only by loving and enjoying the countryside can we learn to care for it.
