A simple white card featuring a drawing of a very friendly oystercatcher. He is called Eamonn.
There’s a funny story behind Eamonn. He first came into my life when I was heavily pregnant with my son. Our local hospital has a noisy colony of oystercatchers who live on the hospital roof in the springtime. When I went in to be induced there was one large oystercatcher who seemed to be just outside every window we looked out of. When we went out for walks to try to encourage labour he would be there tooting at us. We named him Eamonn. He was our stork! Our guardian oystercatcher. Now whenever we see an oystercatcher we think it is Eamonn come to check up on us.
This card is blank inside so it can also be used year round for thank you notes, letters to friends, or birthday cards.
It is printed on lovely quality card, and comes with a nice white envelope.
The folded card is A6 size: 160mm x 120mm.
ABOUT THE CARDS
All the cards are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in the UK. They are printed on FSC approved card stock which means that it is sourced from sustainable mixed forests. The designs are inspired by the rich variety of the British countryside. I believe it is important that people feel connected with the fields, hedgerows and woodlands around them. Only by loving and enjoying the countryside can we learn to care for it.
I love that when someone sends a card they are letting that person know they are valued. I like to imagine posties collecting and delivering the cards, and the journey the cards make by van and air and foot, landing on someone’s front door mat and making that person’s day.
