A drawing of two puffins, in flight, just after take off. The colours are of water and rock. The sea is a wild, the wind is gusting.
There are little sketches and notes on the card, too, from my sketchbook record of a trip to the Farne Islands in June.
Puffins mate for life. This pair might be headed to their cliff-top burrow, reunited after eight months out at sea.
This puffins card is blank inside so it can be used year round for any occasion. I think it would make a lovely anniversary or engagement card, as puffins mate for life. This pair might be headed to their cliff-top burrow, reunited after eight months out at sea.
It is printed on lovely quality card, and comes with a nice white envelope.
The folded card is A6 size: 150mm x 105mm.
You can also find the two puffins as a blank card in the shop.
ABOUT THE CARDS
All the cards are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in the UK. They are printed on FSC approved card stock which means that it is sourced from sustainable mixed forests.
The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio. My work is all about connection: connection with nature, connection with each other.
I love that when someone sends a card they are letting that person know they are valued. I like to imagine posties collecting and delivering the cards, and the journey the cards make by van and air and foot, landing on someone’s front door mat and making that person’s day. Are you planning on sending this card to someone special? Let me know when you leave a review!
