A lovely simple white card featuring a print of a pencil and watercolour drawing of a Robin Red Breast. Robins are symbols of winter. They are a much-loved sight in British gardens over the winter. They cheer the long dark winter months up with their smart red breast and cheery singing. In fact, the robin is one of the only garden birds that continue to sing all winter through.
I wrote a blog post last winter about why we love robins so much. You can read it here.
This card design is one of our ‘winter’ cards. It is designed so that you can use it as a Christmas card, but it is also blank inside so you can use it as a general card throughout the year, too. It is perfect for thank you notes, letters to friends, or birthday cards, or as a gift for a bird watcher or nature lover.
It is printed on lovely quality, sustainably sourced card, and comes with a nice white envelope. It is packaged in a 100% biodegradable cellophane envelope to keep it safe for posting.
Size: The folded card is A6 size – roughly 160mm x 120mm
ABOUT OUR CARDS
All our cards are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in Scotland. They are printed on FSC approved card stock which means that it is sourced from sustainable mixed forests. The original drawings are done in pencil & watercolour. The designs are inspired by the rich variety of the British countryside. We believe it is important that people feel connected with the fields, hedgerows and woodlands around them. Only by loving and enjoying the countryside can we learn to care for it.
We love that when someone sends a card they are letting that person know they are valued. We like to imagine posties collecting and delivering the cards, and the journey the cards make by van and air and foot, landing on someone’s front door mat and making that person’s day. Are you planning on sending this card to someone special? Let us know when you leave a review!
We are committed to finding environmentally responsible packaging solutions. Where possible, we use 100% biodegradable cellophane sleeves made from cornstarch. They are compostable – you can pop them in the compost bin or they will break down quickly in landfill. In addition, we try to use paper-based packing tapes, and recycled cardboard envelopes and boxes wherever possible. This is a process we are committed to continuing with in order to reduce our impact on this beautiful planet. If you would like your card, or any other product, to be sent without a protective cellophane then just leave us a note at the check out.
