This is a limited edition, signed print of my ‘Roosting at Diana’s’ pencil drawing of winter trees. The drawing is a winter’s scene: skeletal trees silhouetted against a blank sky. There are rooks returning to their roosts high up in the tree tops. The drawing is a pencil study with a very little watercolour used to add depth to the sky.
The title, ‘Roosting at Diana’s’, is a nod to artist Diana Hand who has a studio very near these trees and who drew my attention to their beautiful shapes.
There are just 60 of these larger size prints available.
Size: It is printed on A3 size paper: 297 x 420 mm (11.7 x 16.5 in). The print is landscape in orientation.
It will be packaged carefully in a protective envelope to keep it flat for transit.
ABOUT THE PRINTS
The print will be digitally printed on smooth matte archival paper using special pigment inks. The special inks ensure there is no fading over time.
This print is part of a limited edition of 40 prints. This means that once all 40 prints have sold then there won’t be any more printed. The print will be signed in pencil along with the edition number e.g. 7/60.
The art prints are all drawn, scanned, printed & hand assembled in my studio in the Scottish Borders. The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio. My work is all about connection: connection with nature, connection with each other.
