This is a limited edition, signed print of my ‘Stay and Make My Heart Fly’ drawing. It is a drawing of swallows swooping over an almost neon green wheat field. I drew this while my daughter was a baby. All the work on it was done while she snoozed in a sling on my chest. The title came from that feeling that I get when I think about both swallows and the children: the bittersweetness of the fleeting moment that is a summer, or that is babyhood. Don’t grow up yet, don’t leave quite yet. Stay a little longer, and make my heart fly. It is pinched from a Proclaimers song, which I think is probably about romance, not babies and migratory birds.
There are just 100 of these larger size prints available.
Size: It is printed on A3 size paper: 297 x 420 mm (11.7 x 16.5 in).
This print looks fantastic framed up and would make a lovely addition to your home.
It will be packaged carefully in a protective envelope to keep it flat for transit.
There is also a card of this print available here.
ABOUT THE PRINTS
The print will be digitally printed on smooth matte archival paper using special pigment inks. The special inks ensure there is no fading over time.
This print is part of a limited edition of 100 prints. This means that once all 100 prints have sold then there won’t be any more printed. The print will be signed in pencil along with the edition number e.g. 7/100.
The art prints are all drawn, scanned, printed & hand assembled in my studio in the Scottish Borders. The original drawings are done in pencil & watercolour.
