Swallow Wooden Decoration

Summer! There’s swallows and swifts swirling and swooping above; big clouds fluffy and white in a blue sky. And the butterflies adding movement and colour and charm to those laden verges, bursting with ox-eyes and wild roses and honeysuckle.  It’s gorgeous and full and easy and hazy.

Bold, colourful, full of life – bring the summer inside the house.  These swallow wooden decorations are blank on the reverse.  I love to use them as gift tags for summer birthdays and weddings.

Size: 85mm x 62mm at it’s widest points

The swallow hangs from a teal twine string.  It’s super lightweight, perfect for posting or popping in a card. Watch out though – the swallow’s tail streamers are fragile so wrap it up carefully.

You can buy just the swallow, or a set of three summer decorations that include a tortoiseshell butterfly and a honeysuckle flower.

About the products

All our products are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in the UK.  The wooden decorations are UV printed on FSC sustainably sourced timber by Lightning Laser, a small business based in Gloucestershire.  They use ultra low VOC UV inks.

The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio. My work is all about connection: connection with nature, connection with each other.
