Swallows in the Sky – an Art Print – Limited Edition of 40

This is a limited edition, signed print of a pencil, watercolour & collage drawing of two swallows swirling and dancing above the rooftops.  The sky is vast and blue and the swallows carve it up with their agile, joyful flight.  There are little handwritten notes in the sky all about swallow behaviour.  There are just 40 of these prints available.

In the drawing you can see the rooftop of a cottage.  This was our little cottage where we used to live on Teapot Street.  In the evenings in the summertime, the swallows, martins and swifts would chase round the rooftops in the village, creating invisible patterns in the sky.

This print would make a lovely wedding present, or a gift for a special couple on their anniversary.

Size: It is printed on A3 size paper: 297 x 420 mm (11.7 x 16.5 in).

It will be packaged carefully in a protective envelope to keep it flat for transit.

You’ll find another swallow print in our shop, with just a single bird against a white background.

ABOUT THE PRINTS

The print will be digitally printed on smooth matte archival paper using special pigment inks.  The special inks ensure there is no fading over time.

This print is part of a limited edition of 40 prints.  This means that once all 40 prints have sold then there won’t be any more printed.  The print will be signed in pencil along with the edition number e.g. 7/40.

The art prints are all drawn, scanned, printed & hand assembled in my studio in the Scottish Borders. The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio. My work is all about connection: connection with nature, connection with each other.
