‘Triumphant in the Woods’ is adelicate, detailed drawing of a moment in time – a November walk in the woods with the kids after a week of being stuck at home with illness. My then three-year-old was euphoric in his defeat of the nasty winter bug. I turned round to see him slightly ahead on the path, gentle pink dusk behind him, looking totally triumphant: Nasty Bug vanquished, zest for life returned, an untouchable three-year-old King of Woods.

ABOUT THE CARDS
All the cards are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in the UK. They are printed on FSC approved card stock which means that it is sourced from sustainable mixed forests.
The original drawings are inspired by the little corner of the world I’m lucky enough to inhabit. I draw in pencil, biro and watercolour, filling my sketchbook with drawings and notes, and working on bigger pencil drawings back in the studio.
I love that when someone sends a card they are letting that person know they are valued. I like to imagine posties collecting and delivering the cards, and the journey the cards make by van and air and foot, landing on someone’s front door mat and making that person’s day.
