The Field Notes Postcards Set are a pack of 12 postcards, one postcard for each month of the year, taken from the illustrated pages of the Field Notes Calendar. The Field Notes are a collaboration with Glasgow-based poet Samuel Tongue combining verse and illustration to take you through a year in trees. Each month is the page from a naturalist’s diary – his notes, his poetry and his sketches about the ash, hazel, rowan, sycamore and hawthorn, to name a few.
The set makes a great gift, or it can be used to create your own calendar, or why not send one a month to someone special? There’s never been a more important time to keep in touch.
Size: The postcards are A6 size (105mm x 148mm) and have lovely rounded corners. There’s plenty of space on the back for writing. Each card comes with a nice kraft brown envelope. The pack is held together with a paper belly band.
ABOUT THE PAPER GOODS
All the products are designed, manufactured and packaged by hand in the UK. The postcards are printed on FSC certified paper stock which means it has been sourced sustainably. The original drawings are done in pencil & watercolour. The designs are inspired by the rich variety of the British countryside. I believe it is important that people feel connected with the fields, hedgerows and woodlands around them. Only by loving and enjoying the countryside can we learn to care for it.
